Football Game Preview: Sheridan Blackhawks vs. Delphi Community Oracles

The Sheridan Blackhawks will square off against the Delphi Community Oracles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Sheridan gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They came out on top against Taylor by a score of 22-13.

Sheridan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brody Heck, Hayden Alexander, and Landon Moffitt picked up one apiece. Heck is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Another thorn in Taylor's side was Jaden Dunbar, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles.

Meanwhile, Delphi Community fell victim to Clinton Prairie and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Gophers, falling 38-0. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Oracles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sheridan's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Delphi Community, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Sheridan strolled past Delphi Community in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 21-7. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Oracles' Joshua Hartley, who rushed for 127 yards and one score on only nine carries, and also picked up 137 receiving yards.
