Basketball Recap: Cherokee County Comes Up Short

Cherokee County lost against Alexandria last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cherokee County Warriors took a hard 61-46 fall against the Alexandria Valley Cubs. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cherokee County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Alexandria, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cherokee County will be playing in front of their home fans against Sand Rock at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Sand Rock will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Cherokee County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alexandria, they will square off against Talladega at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alexandria knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Talladega likes a good challenge.
