Omaha Westside waltzed into their contest on Monday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Standing Bear Grizzlies.

Ty Hanna and Duncan Hasnen did most of the damage at the plate: Hanna went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Hasnen went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits Hasnen has posted since April 2nd. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Schleifer, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Omaha Westside's victory bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Standing Bear, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Omaha Westside is set to take on their familiar foe Millard North at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.3, the Mustangs 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Standing Bear will challenge rival Kearney at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
