Tojuan Peyton Jr. Turns in Season-Best Performance
Lanier was led to victory by Tojuan Peyton Jr., who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Peyton Jr. rushed for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.
On the season, Peyton Jr. has averaged 22.2 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 13.

Trey Smith Goes Supernova in Roswell Victory
Roswell picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Trey Smith. Smith was unstoppable, throwing for 286 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Roswell's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Smith and Roswell will venture away from home to challenge Lanier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

TJ Lester and Co. Win 18th in a Row
Milton picked up their 18th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to TJ Lester. Lester was excellent, rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (102.6) per game. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.
Milton's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Lester and Milton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Johns Creek at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Milton Gets a Boost from Nickel in 42-24 Victory
Luke Nickel was instrumental in extending Milton's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Nickel did his part (and then some), throwing for 286 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 32 yards for the 'W'. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in December of 2023.
This season, Nickel has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 230.2 passing yards per game.

Nick Peal Makes It Two for Roswell
Another Roswell player making an appearance on this list is Nick Peal. He wasn't messing around on Friday, making two total tackles (1.0 for loss). The matchup was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 58 yards.
