Leonard extends home losing streak to three

Recap: Leonard Lancers vs. Pahokee Blue Devils

The Leonard Lancers were the 38-33 winner over the Pahokee Blue Devils when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Leonard suffered a tough 58-33 defeat at the hands of Pahokee on Wednesday. Leonard has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Leonard saw an underclassman step up: Euterria Davis scored 16 points along with six steals. That was a full 48.5% of Leonard's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Bradline Eriscar, who scored nine points.

Leonard's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-4. As for Pahokee, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leonard won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Forest Hill at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Pahokee, they will head out on the road to face off against Boca Raton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Boca Raton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
