Baseball Recap: Old Mill Takes a Loss

Old Mill fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against North County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Old Mill has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for North County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.

Coming up, Old Mill will square off against South Carroll on Monday. The Cavaliers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.06 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North County, they will take on Severna Park on Saturday.
