Bryan Station gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Holy Cross Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Defenders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Samuel Wilkerson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wilkerson was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Jordan Carter was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Bryan Station will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Academy-Louisville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holy Cross, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Holy Cross Cougars face off against Kentucky Country Day Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
