Baseball Recap: Littlestown Comes Up Short

If Littlestown was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Delone Catholic on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunderbolts fell 6-1 to the West York Area Bulldogs on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Thunderbolts in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Littlestown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Dillon, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Logan Hoover also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Littlestown's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-8-1. As for West York Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Littlestown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West York Area, they will challenge South Western at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
