League recap: New Prairie tops Kankakee Valley to extend winning streak

Adding to the longest winning streak in Northern State this week, New Prairie beat Kankakee Valley 62-0. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.

New Prairie was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Kougars. Russ Radtke's team came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 37 last week.

Glenn's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Falcons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Daniel Wallace has thrown for 637 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Tyler Prentkowski has 15 catches for 313 yards.

Zach Combes of the Glenn is only 33 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 162 carries Combes has accumulated 967 yard this year.

The Falcons scaled the state rankings by moving to 138 from 168 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Glenn climbed the ranks as a result of beating Mishawaka Marian 37-21.
