Soccer Game Preview: Stratford vs. Wando

Stratford is 0-10 against Wando since March of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Knights will welcome the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Stratford's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Stratford had taken Hanahan down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Knights fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Stratford have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Wando earned a 3-1 win over Asheville on Saturday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Wando's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked tenth in South Carolina, while Asheville are ranked 44th in North Carolina).

Wando is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those six contests. As for Stratford, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-2.
