Softball Preview: Logansport Berries vs. Harrison Raiders        
        
		
            
 Logansport is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Harrison is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Logansport Berries will take on the Harrison Raiders at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Logansport: 1.2, Harrison: 3.4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.

  Brooklynn Hagerty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one  run (which was  unearned)  on three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Bella Nicoles, who  went 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.  Jocelynn Vincent was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Harrison faced Noblesville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Harrison never let Noblesville onto the board and left with  a   10-0  win. The result was nothing new for Harrison, who have now won five matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Harrison also got a great performance from  Rylan Gick as she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Ava Mobley was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs and five  RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Ashley Dunk, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Logansport's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Harrison, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Thursday's   matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. Logansport hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Harrison struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
