After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Biddeford, Massabesic was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Deering Rams 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Deering's batters probably weren't too happy with Brady Batson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up zero walks).

On the hitting side, Noah Bryan was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Massabesic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Deering, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Massabesic is set to take on their familiar foe Falmouth at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Deering will challenge rival Noble at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
