Baseball Recap: Phoenixville Takes a Loss

Phoenixville fell victim to Faith Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Lions. The Phantoms just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Brady Mikita was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Phoenixville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Faith Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Phoenixville is taking a road trip to square off against Pottstown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Phantoms are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plumstead Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
