Classical and Bishop Hendricken are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2022, but not for long. The Purple will host the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Classical will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Classical is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Tolman, who was ranked 13th at the time (Classical was ranked third). The Purple narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-2.

Classical got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 18-25, 30-28, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Bishop Hendricken lost 3-0 to Chariho on Monday.

While Bishop Hendricken was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Chariho's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Classical's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Bishop Hendricken, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.

Classical came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Hendricken in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Purple have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
