Basketball Recap: Flatirons Academy Continues Home Dominance on Friday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Flatirons Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 38-37 photo finish over the Cheraw Wolverines. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Despite the loss, Cheraw still got an impressive performance from Kieran Harris, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Harris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braislea Groves, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Flatirons Academy pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.1 points on average over those games. As for Cheraw, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Flatirons Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-15 defeat against Stratton on the 8th. Cheraw does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
