Baseball Game Preview: Newkirk Tigers vs. Crescent Tigers

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Newkirk is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Cashion on Thursday. They lost 9-2 to the Wildcats. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Newkirk saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aden Foul, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Crescent didn't have quite enough to beat Destiny Christian on Saturday and fell 7-6. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Crescent's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Newkirk, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Newkirk beat Crescent 6-3 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Newkirk repeat their success, or does Crescent have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
