Angel Hipolito Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Saturday, Virginia City got the W thanks in part to Angel Hipolito playing the best football he has all season. Hipolito rushed for 333 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.

Mineral County had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hipolito it was a similar story. When Hipolito last faced the Serpents back in September of 2023, he rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown.

Big Game from Reeves As Mineral County Fell 48-27

Chase Reeves posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Saturday. He rushed for 146 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 108 yards and three touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

Virginia City had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Reeves it was a similar story. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Reeves saw the Muckers), he rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 117 yards on five of 24 attempts.

Owyhee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Blossom and Owyhee will challenge Wells at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
