Soccer Recap: Rochelle Takes a Loss

Rochelle lost against Sycamore on April 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hubs came up short against the Spartans, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Rochelle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Sycamore are ranked 87th).

Rochelle has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Sycamore, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rochelle will host Kaneland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sycamore, they will be playing at home against Hononegah at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
