Football Recap: Fernandina Beach Comes Up Short on the Road Against Yulee

Fernandina Beach kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 26-7 fall against the Yulee Hornets. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Among those leading the charge was Brooke Reid, who threw for 322 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt. What's more, she racked up 99.6 passer rating, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

Coming up, Fernandina Beach will head out on the road to take on Baldwin at 6:00 p.m. on February 25th. As for Yulee, they will venture away from home to square off against Raines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
