Soccer Recap: Churchill Takes a Loss

Churchill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Franklin Patriots, falling 4-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Franklin this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-2 defeat back in April.

Churchill's loss dropped their record down to 0-17-1. As for Franklin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Churchill and Franklin could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Chargers (ranked 390th) will meet Canton (ranked 113th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Franklin will square off against Divine Child at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (302 vs. 68).
