Soccer Game Preview: Bayside vs. Flushing

The Bayside Commodores will take on the Flushing Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Bayside's victory against Francis Lewis wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Commodores never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. The result kept Bayside happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 2nd.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Flushing made sure to put some goals up on the board against Cardozo on Wednesday. They blew past the Judges 5-1. The result was nothing new for Flushing, who have now won four matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Bayside's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Flushing, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Bayside skirted past Flushing 2-1 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Commodores repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
