Baseball Recap: Warren Beats Horatio for Their Third Straight Win

Warren made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Horatio, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warren Lumberjacks were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the Horatio Lions on Friday. Eight seems to be a good number for the Lumberjacks as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Antonio Jordan, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Parker O'Neal, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory was the third in a row for Warren, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Horatio, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Warren will head out on the road to take on Murfreesboro at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Horatio, they will host Crossett at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
