Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Grove). Their defense stepped up to hand the Meridian Wildcats a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory snapped Oak Grove's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-8 record. As for Meridian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Oak Grove and Meridian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings.
