Basketball Game Preview: Haslett Vikings vs. Grand Ledge Comets

The Haslett Vikings just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Grand Ledge Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Haslett is headed into Tuesday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Okemos on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Wolves are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, Grand Ledge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 54-50 to Holt.

Grand Ledge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Haslett, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Haslett couldn't quite finish off Grand Ledge in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 and fell 56-53. Can Haslett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
