Volleyball Game Preview: Madeira Snails vs. Evergreen Christian Eagles

The Madeira Snails will face off against the Evergreen Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evergreen Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Madeira, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Madeira and Sidwell Friends meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Snails blew past the Quakers 3-0.

Madeira walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Christian came up short against Trinity Christian on Friday and fell 3-1. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

While Evergreen Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 24-26, 25-23.

Having lost for the first time this season, Evergreen Christian fell to 12-1. As for Madeira, their win ended a four-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
