El Dorado kept a clean sheet against Horizon on Friday. They put the hurt on the Horizon Scorpions with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Aztecs, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Horizon from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kimberly Martinez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The victory made it two in a row for El Dorado and bumps their season record up to 7-11. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Horizon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Dorado will venture away from home to take on Parkland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horizon, they are taking a road trip to square off against Americas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
