Basketball Recap: Imani Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Imani Christian Academy was the 66-62 winner over Upper St. Clair when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Imani Christian Academy Saints took a blow against the Upper St. Clair Panthers on Tuesday, falling 74-32. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Panthers are ranked 16th).

Imani Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Upper St. Clair, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Imani Christian Academy will welcome Mt. Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Upper St. Clair, they will be playing at home against Hempfield Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hempfield Area knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Upper St. Clair likes a good challenge.
