Softball Recap: Clear Springs' Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Clear Springs had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Summer Creek Bulldogs 12-5 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Alana Strever, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Brynley Colianni was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Clear Springs, bringing their record up to 19-6. As for Summer Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-6.

Looking ahead, Clear Springs will challenge Dobie at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. Summer Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
