Baseball Preview: Hardin County Cougars vs. Galatia/Thompsonville Bearcats

The Hardin County Cougars are on the road again on Wednesday to play the Galatia/Thompsonville Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hardin County gave up the first runs last Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victor by a 14-6 margin over Vienna.

Meanwhile, Galatia/Thompsonville got the win against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Galatia/Thompsonville.

AJ Downing made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Downing has been consistent recently: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
