Volleyball Recap: Delphi Community Comes Up Short

Delphi Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winamac Warriors. The Oracles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Delphi Community saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Baylee Caylor had six digs and four aces. Airy Lattimore also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Delphi Community's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Winamac, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Delphi Community has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against North Miami on the 23rd. As for Winamac, they will challenge North White at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
