Millard West faced Kearney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Bearcats 9-8. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Jackson Thiel was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Sam Kidd was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
