Basketball Game Preview: Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies vs. Granville Blue Aces

Johnstown-Monroe is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Granville is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies will welcome the Granville Blue Aces at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long.

On Sunday, Johnstown-Monroe strolled past London with points to spare, taking the game 51-34.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Granville beat Zanesville 50-46 on Friday. Given the Blue Aces' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 404th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Johnstown-Monroe is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Granville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
