Recap: James Madison Warhawks vs. Freedom Eagles
The James Madison Warhawks's 25-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 35-27 to Freedom on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points James Madison has scored all season.
Keilana Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Freedom, scoring 12 points along with five steals. The matchup was Johnson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Price, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
James Madison has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Freedom, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Madison will challenge Centreville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Freedom, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
