Volleyball Recap: Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Takes a Loss

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Michigan Lutheran Titans, falling 3-0. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-11.

Vivien Mcloughlin paced Our Lady of the Lake Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Mcloughlin got some help from Allison Hemmerly and her 13 assists. Helen Molter controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-17-1. As for Michigan Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-4-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Our Lady of the Lake Catholic will square off against Grace Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Michigan Lutheran, they will take on Bloomingdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
