West Rowan won the last time they faced Concord and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Spiders 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted against the Spiders since April 19, 2022.

Raney Phelps made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.

West Rowan's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Concord, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Rowan will welcome Lake Norman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
