Despite their loss, Sterling saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Another player making a difference was Erin Quinn, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rancocas Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 51-47 to the Cougars. Rancocas Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Rancocas Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.
Sterling was able to grind out a solid victory over the Red Devils in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, winning 55-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sterling since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
