Basketball Recap: Accelerate Academy Piles Up the Points Against Elevation Prep Academy

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Accelerate Academy on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Elevation Prep Academy Honey Badgers out of the water with a 93-51 final score. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Accelerate Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Timothy Burris out in front who posted 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Donte Greene Jr., who had 13 points and five rebounds.

Elevation Prep Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was KEVIN RODRIGUEZ, who went 6-for-12 en route to 13 points and five boards. Javon Walker was another key player, shooting 46% from the field on his way to 13 points.

Accelerate Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Accelerate Academy will square off against Winston Salem Christian Silver at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Elevation Prep Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Winston Salem Christian National at 7:00 p.m. on December 3.
