After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Delta, Madison-Grant was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Wes-Del Warriors 54-16. The victory was some much needed relief for the Argylls as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Madison-Grant was led to victory by Jasmyn Rainey and Grace Wood. Rainey earned seven points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds, while Wood went 7 for 14 en route to 17 points plus two blocks. The dominant performance also gave Rainey a new career-high in offensive rebounds (six). Another player making a difference was Madalee Holloway, who had eight points along with four steals.

Madison-Grant was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wes-Del only posted three.

Despite the loss, Wes-Del saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bella Kehoe posted six points along with 12 rebounds.

The win got Madison-Grant back to even at 1-1. As for Wes-Del, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Madison-Grant will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Cowan at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wes-Del, they will take on Randolph Southern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
