Basketball Recap: Goldsboro Comes Up Short

Goldsboro lost against Eastern Wayne back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Goldsboro Cougars received a blow as they fell 77-59 to the Eastern Wayne Warriors.

Eastern Wayne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izeiah Oates, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten assists. Oates is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted eight or more in each of the last four games he's played. Levi Evans was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Goldsboro's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Eastern Wayne, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.

As of now, neither Goldsboro nor Eastern Wayne have any future games scheduled.
