Football Recap: Shelby's Rushing Attack Does It Again

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Shelby walked away with it. They took down the Harrison Hornets 30-16 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Brody Fessenden was his usual excellent self, rushing for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. Those 242 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Dayday Garcia was another key player, rushing for 59 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Shelby was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.

Shelby's record now sits at 7-4. As for Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

As of now, neither Shelby nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
