Baseball Recap: HCYA Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Houston HomeSchool on Tuesday, HCYA came back down to earth. HCYA took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houston Christian Mustangs on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for HCYA in their meetings with Houston Christian: they've now lost six in a row.

HCYA saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Parish, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

HCYA's loss dropped their record down to 22-14. As for Houston Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

HCYA has already played their next match, an 8-1 defeat against Emery/Weiner on the 22nd. As for Houston Christian, they will challenge Kelly Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
