Basketball Recap: Trinidad Extends Winning Streak to Four

Trinidad came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 37-29 win over the Sargent Farmers. This was a revenge game for the Miners: when they faced off against the Farmers two weeks ago, they had to take a 36-31 loss.

Trinidad found their leader in sophomore Isaiah Moreno, who posted 12 points.

Despite the loss, Sargent still got an impressive performance from Lucas Garcia, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Garcia has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kade Temple, who earned eight points.

Trinidad's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Sargent, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

As of now, neither Trinidad nor Sargent have any future games scheduled.
