Volleyball Recap: Stevens Raiders vs. Lincoln Patriots
Stevens managed to slip by Lincoln the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders came up short against the Patriots on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Stevens couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Lincoln a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-28, 25-20, 26-24.
Lincoln was led to victory by Julia Blom and Hayden Kok. Blom had 18 digs and three aces, while Kok had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Blom has posted since back in October.
Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 26-11. As for Lincoln, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Stevens and Lincoln are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lincoln, they will host Yankton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
