Hughson is 8-2 against Orestimba since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Hughson will be playing in front of their home fans against Orestimba at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hughson has seven straight wins, Orestimba has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Dominic Aguiar made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lawson Aviles, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Andrew Fisher was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Hughson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ripon only posted an OBP of .364.
Meanwhile, Orestimba fell victim to Hughson and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 18-0 to the Huskies. Considering the last time the Warriors couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.
Orestimba's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Hughson, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.
Orestimba's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hughson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. It's a different story for Orestimba, though, as they've only averaged .211. Will they be able to contain Hughson's hitters?
Everything went Hughson's way against Orestimba in their previous meeting on Wednesday, as Hughson made off with an 18-0 win. Does Hughson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Orestimba turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
