It was a good run, but Seneca Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to the North Hills Indians. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Indians are ranked 308th).

Seneca Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for North Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seneca Valley will host New Castle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Hills, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Baldwin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
