It was a good run, but Haleyville unfortunately witnessed the end of their 19-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Jasper Vikings by a score of 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Haleyville got a good showing from Brody Armstrong, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Armstrong gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Haleyville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Cagle, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Cagle is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Haleyville's loss dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Jasper, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

As of now, neither Haleyville nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
