Softball Recap: Dwyer Comes Up Short

Dwyer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the John Carroll Catholic Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

Dwyer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brielle Cardoso, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Dwyer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for John Carroll Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Dwyer Panthers challenge Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dwyer's pitchers better be ready for this one: Pembroke Pines Charter has averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for John Carroll Catholic, they will face off against Martin County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
