Basketball Recap: Morgan County Comes Up Short

Morgan County lost against Pikeville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Morgan County Cougars took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pikeville Panthers.

Morgan County has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Pikeville, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars challenge the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pikeville, they will welcome Shelby Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Pikeville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Shelby Valley likes a good challenge.
