Somerville's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Lynn English with a sharp 12-0 victory. The Highlanders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Everett was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They lost 11-1 to Lynn English. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Crimson Tide have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Everett's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Somerville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Everything went Somerville's way against Everett in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Somerville made off with a 12-2 victory.
