Basketball Recap: Riverview Takes a Loss

If Riverview was riding high fresh off their 58-17 takedown of Milan last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Riverview Pirates were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 31-30 to the Saline Hornets. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

With the defeat, Riverview broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2. As for Saline, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverview will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Huron at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Saline will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Gaylord at 1:45 p.m. on January 1, 2025.
